Police Officer and Deputy Sheriff Real Estate
ByAre there different needs amongst the Police Officers, Deputy Sheriff’s and Highway Patrol Officers, that cause us to be their choice when it comes to all Real Estate dealings?
I am positive that there is. I will start by explaining that others in our industry "Real Estate" are completely happy that we are working with the men and women of Law Enforcement and the Fire Department. This is something that has been told to us, time and time again, that working in these circles is pure suicide. There is no way a person can work within these "Oath Takers" for long without developing a bad reputation. I have figured out what they mean from my 17 year past including my current Reserve Status.
As Police Officers, Deputy Sheriff’s, Highway Patrol Officers, and Fire Fighters, there is a huge amount of time spent with others. When you view the private sector professions, you will notice that those within those walls do not work directly with others. They might interact around the water fountain, on a smoke break, or during lunch in the break room, but for the most part they are sole and separate. Enter stage left, Law Enforcement and Fire Department – Here you are spending huge amounts of time with others. Most of the shift, whether on 8’s, 10’s, 12’s, or 24 or 48’s, you have a partner or partners, someone that you are going to bet your life on for being able to do the right thing. We have very little time or really know until that moment that the person in which we have been working with will actually protect your life above their own. Once that occurs you have sealed destiny and a partner for life. That is something that the private sector employment does not offer, nor can most of that idea be understood by the "non-oath" public.
When you have that partner or partners, you talk with each other, Family, God, Politics, the things that in normal discussion circles, amongst the private people, are taboo. These things you are spending a lot of time talking about. Included in these discussions are things related to the way you are spending your money. Real Estate, Stock Market, Get Rich Quick Schemes, and the like are shared and brainstormed by you and those that you have this intimate relationship that’s foundation is made of some of the strongest substance out there "TRUST".
So if you are ever taken advantage of, let us just say in Real Estate. By an agent that has not done their best to give you the truth, and from that let you make your own decisions, someone that had only their best interest in their heart, then you are going to take that to work and share it. Thereby killing that Real Estate Agent’s reputation and spreading as quickly as a terminal disease, that Agent or Lender is finished within those circles. Try balancing that over the past 10 years since we have been catering to Law Enforcement and Fire Department personnel.
