Communications Division Los Angeles Police Department - Home Search Engine

I was blessed to have met the morning watch during my rounds at the Los Angeles Police Department in my capacity as a Full Line Reserve Officer.  I had coffee, spoke about the new retirement issues and problems and advantages of Drop and Bounce.  I also spoke about the critical incident that happened a few days ago with the Death of a SWAT Officer, Randy.  It was a very nice time.  I have to say that there is a huge amount of respect that I have for the Men and Women that work in any communications role.

Especially when they are working at a high-speed pace like the one that presents itself 24/7/365 in the City of Los Angeles.  There are not very many days without pursuits, shootings, fatal traffic collisions, other agencies serving search warrants, and officers on different frequencies attempting to tactically deploy at the scene of any one of the critical incidents that happen on a daily basis.  I have watched these Men and Women of communications division perform a multitude of tasks when dealing with people on the "VERGE" of doing horrific things to themselves or others, that would put to shame any other field of endeavor.

I am absolutely honored to have made everyone’s acquaintance and hope that they all have fantastic days ahead.

Thanks to MQ I appreciate the glimpse into your and everyone else’s, World!
