Saugus California is one of the cities that is contained within the Santa Clarita Valley. Santa Clarita Valley is a suburb that is just 11 miles north of the City of Los Angeles.

As you are driving north bound from the City of Los Angeles you will be on the 5 Freeway, while approaching the Santa Clarita Valley you will have a choice to make depending on where you are planning to purchase a home. If you are going to be settling in Valencia, Stevenson Ranch, Some Parts of Newhall or in Castaic you will stay on the Five Freeway. If you are going to be settling on Canyon Country or some parts of Newhall, then the 14 freeway will be your best bet. But you are wanting to know if you are going to choose Saugus to settle in? Well that is about a coin toss. Or as Dad used to say, "Six of one or half a dozen of the other." You can choose either artery to get you home. Of course, because we operate in more than one dimension – Saugus has two sides – but it is not a Huge community. Therefore it could be an advantage from either freeway – If one artery from the San Fernando Valley or from Los Angeles is clogged, then you can choose to use the other artery to get home after the 5 freeway / 14 freeway split.

Saugus is a great community like the others in the Santa Clarita Valley – It has huge parks, green belts and the paseo system that runs very close indeed. Close to shops and restaurants and a lot of good ones that are contained within its boarders. You also have some of the best public schools available in the Saugus School District.
