Don’t throw Rocks – You might Hit a Real Estate Licensee
ByThe publications that were once stocked at the newsstands and check out lines at the local businesses’ cash registers, are dwindling. These are the publications that had to do with Santa Clarita Real Estate that were filled with those ever good deals and please call my toll-free number for more information about a particular property.
Also, could it be true that 1 in 22 adults have their Real Estate license? So if I threw 22 rocks, I would have pretty good odds of hitting a person that has a Real Estate License. How can a person survive in a business that has so many people that have their Real Estate license? If everyone of those people are capable of buying and selling homes, the entire industry and all of those people should be doing Real Estate transactions themselves and on a part time basis.
I am a bit tongue in cheek with this blog, but I am wondering why 5% of the Real Estate Licensee’s do 95% of the Real Estate business? I mean if anyone can do it, why is that number so big? Having had another life but a drive for something different and expanding my "self", I can see why only 5% have 95% of the Real Estate Business. It is because they have Drive and Determination. They have the Right Stuff to keep up and keep on, they do not give up at every bad bit of information that comes their way, in the Mainstream media, from their family, from friends, from those that are intent in ruining them. No, they have Laser type focus and have made a commitment to those that trusting them with their largest investment. Their Home! Why would you trust someone that is doing this on a part time basis with the largest investment in money that you will ever make?
Also, if I have a Real Estate License, why wouldn’t I do it myself when it came to me wanting to buy or sell Real Estate. To do that you need to be under a broker, you need to join a company, you will need to join the local Board of Realtors.
1. To join a company – REMAX of Santa Clarita and REMAX of Valencia has strict associate guidelines. They want to see a track record, they want you to have been productive or trained by someone that was extremely productive in the industry. They do not take new, just licensed agents, they know that with those that have not been trained, that is a open door for lawsuits. That is why new police officers and deputy sheriff’s have the 1 year probation time to work out the kinks and work with a training officer. If they don’t cut the mustard, then they are let go. Again, this is your largest investment, your home…
2. To join the local Board of Realtors – We are members of 4 boards, which itself is a bit rare. I want the data feeds from each board of Realtors and the area that is serves directly from their Server. I don’t want to be affiliate, I want to be the "source". So when I have a client that is interested in the west side of Los Angeles – I can pull that search directly from that area. Lets say for argument’s sake, you just want to join the local Board of Realtors to do it yourself. You are looking at a Grand, $1,000.00. Plus time, time spent in orientation’s and seeing whether or not anyone has an objection with you being a member. The Current Realtor membership has a chance to object. Carrying the Title of "Realtor" is no small thing. It is a right of passage and there are people that apply that cannot achieve it. It carries weight and prestige.
We are the TOP 1% of Realtors Nationwide – That is a true statement – the Top 1%. Not too shabby, I mentioned before that 5% earn 95% of the business in this industry – We are Top 1%. Paris MacIVOR and Connor MacIVOR. We have proven we know a thing or two about keeping the Relationship alive and earning trust. Especially difficult with our Sphere of Influence – Police, Deputies, Firefighters, EMT’s and Teachers. We do handle our share of Private Sector folks and love them just as much as our sworn. But to get the trust from both sides of the fence, that is a fantastic feat. That is also why we are Unique in the Santa Clarita Real Estate Market and with RE/MAX of Santa Clarita and Valencia.

As a photographer, this is a question that I too have often asked myself. Even if I was just an everyday, shoot photos of the kids and dogs, type of person, common sense would still tell me to take a better photo if I want to make money off of it. Come on realtors – it’s not rocket science. It doesn’t take a professional photographer nor does it take expensive gear to make a house look good in a picture. The most important part of *any* photograph is composition. To me, this particular picture tells me that the realtor doesn’t want to sell this house. It also tells me that the realtor doesn’t care much for the people trying to sell the house, because he or she obviosly isn’t helping them with this photo. Did the realtor take this picture, or was it the seller? If it was the home owner, then I would hope that the realtor would advise them to take a better picture, or offer to do it herself. Either way, shame on the realtor. This is amature effort from an amature agent.
