ByBack in mama’s day Real estate had a much different approach, prior to REMAX of Santa Clarita Being Born. First off, the deposit that you put down on a property symbolizes a hand shake. Back in mothers day it was a hand shake. Back in mama’s day, twenty percent was the norm no matter who you were and what you did for a living. As of lately you could get 100 percent financing without the bank caring what you did for a living and with not caring who you were. When mama was young there was no way to send documents via a telephone. People actually needed to look each other in the eye and get in each others red zone’s.
Today, most if the time today the people on the other side of the transaction, the other buyer, seller, and agent’s are a mystery. However, I still prefer to meet with the selling agent in person with their sellers to present offers when I can. When we represent the seller- we like to meet with the prospective buyers so I can look them and their agent in the eye to test their metal for my seller’s, not a blood test or anything – I learn a lot about someone by looking them in the eyes. But to get that part of the equation fulfilled, that is very difficult with schedules and the speed of life. Also, probably more true, people are not comfortable meeting and looking at you in the eye.
You want to know our first step with all of our buyers and sellers? We meet, we sit with them in our offices or in their home and we meet. We want to make sure that we gel, get along, there’s cohesion, we jive, you know, not like Oil and Water. We are about to embark on a journey that could take several years. But the relationship will exist from this point on, I want to make sure we all fit together like peas in a pod, sugar and spice, Glock 21’s and .45ACP’s.. I think you get the point…
We are not into quick, at least with no part of Real Estate – LOL - If we have clients that are ready to buy now – Then we help them now, but if anyone that comes to us about buying or selling Real estate and are on the fence – We wait until they are ready to come down off of that fence. Isn’t that everyone’s right? To do it when they are ready?
