Where is the HONOR in Real Estate?

By paris911

Usual Suspects When working within the Real Estate community, we come across many unsavory characters.  This is not just those that are wanting to cut corners and even attempt to pull one over on the “authorities” when it comes to their Real Estate Dealings, but from within and from other Agents.

Basically, we operate by, referral, word of mouth and our Huge Internet Presence.  We have also developed some of the best relationships possible with our Clients and their Families.  We continue to mainly operate within the Law Enforcement Circles – Representing Deputies from the LA county Sheriff’s Department and Officers from the LA Police Department.  California Highway Patrol Officers also seek out The Paris911 TEAM at RE/MAX of Santa Clarita to provide assistance with Real Estate.

We had an interesting attempt to pull a client from utilizing our services recently.  It all started via a “text message”.  (full story posted on Active Rain)

And by a Part-Time Real Estate Agent who also does Lending somewhere south of Los Angeles.  Whoever this person is, he is playing a very dangerous game and is also throwing others under the bus by asking questions that can only have a dark result.  I know his employer with his “regular job” and also most in his sphere of influence.  When you ask a work associate if you have signed a “broker buyer agreement” with your Real Estate Agent – it can only get “darker” from there…

– When I was with the PD and even now, when I find someone else has a Real Estate Representative – I go no further.  If I have a “smokin” deal which will fit what they are looking for, I get the phone number to their agent and call them and tell them about what I have found or know about.

But, we are amongst some that are in a bad way in this market.  It is a hard market – but no matter how hard it gets – I would never do such an act as to attempt to take something that is not mine – and even worse – by using “trick or device”.
