Posted by: | CommentsI suppose in life we take a lot of things for granted. Health for instance, most of us take that for granted until we loose it. Being that I am Former LAPD, yet for only 17 years full time and currently a reserve, I had seen quite a few tragedy’s that make me thankful for the small things.
Such as meeting good people. I was with the LA County Sheriff’s Department at the Pomona Courts with others that provide some absolutely necessary services for the men and women in Green and Tan.
Apparently, like Paris and I, they do go outside of the “law enforcement box” as well when it comes to the non-sworn people in the world. Which I always see as a huge benefit.
First we have Pre-Paid Legal Services. Carolyn T. Obrecht was the nice lady that represents this service. She gave me a pamphlet that detailed how the services work and the “bang for your buck” was extremely reasonable. You never think about needing an attorney until that stranger says, “Are you _____________” “you have been served”. Carolyn’s Contact Information is as follows:

AFLAC was well represented, you may remember the “duck” commercials. Sunday’s Santa Clarita Real Estate Market Recap
Posted by: | CommentsIn the last 24 hours we have had 16 total Listings enter the Santa Clarita Real Estate Market for Sale – These include the cities of Acton, Agua Dulce, Canyon Country, Castaic, Newhall, Stevenson Ranch, Saugus and Valencia.
3 of the listings, Castaic, Newhall and Valencia were Foreclosures – Bank Owned.
8 of them were as follows, 2 Short Sales in Canyon Country, 2 Short Sales in Castaic, 2 Short Sales in Saugus, 1 Short Sale in Stevenson Ranch, and 1 Short Sale in Valencia. Non-distressed Santa Clarita Home Sellers Unite
Posted by: | Comments35 new listings came onto the Santa Clarita Real Estate market for sale in the last 24 hours – Maybe in the last 27 – I posted this much earlier on Tuesday.
Of those 35 new Santa Clarita Homes for sale 23 were Short Sales – but the rest, 12, were normal listings.
Foreclosures were at Zero – But if you speak with our buyers, dealing with a real Human Being in the countering process and the “wanting to get things fixed” stage is much more attractive when compared with getting out bid and beaten up from the Foreclosures and the dismal wait with Short Sales.
So – That leaves us where we are this AM – 12 New Listings that have a Local Seller that can be negotiated with and is a bit more flexible from a Real Estate Point of view.

That is a record of sorts – with the usual releases being anywhere from 10 or less to a best of 23 in the past few weeks. But the difference is that we are up in the Short Sale Listings category.
Foreclosures Are reflecting 4 new – in Agua Dulce, Canyon Country, Castaic and Valencia.

Overnight Home Listings in Santa Clarita
Posted by: | CommentsKeeping up with the current market activity for our buyers is key. To be able to move beyond the automated searches and to be the first to advise our Clients of something that conforms with their needs before they open the e-mail is the Rush of Real Estate.
The difference between when this happened on a regular basis was “market timing”. Currently we have a lack of inventory – or a multitude of Buyers.
Either way – it is not like the market of 2008, we had a bunch of Real Estate Listings on the Market in Santa Clarita and the Surrounding communities – plenty to keep the active buyers within escrows on the homes that they wanted to purchase.
13 properties came onto the market since my posting last night. But some of the listings look promising – However, most are Short Sales.

- Valencia had 10 new Real Estate Listings
- Stevenson Ranch had 2 additions
- Saugus is in for 4
- Newhall also 4
- Castaic had 3 additions today
- Canyon Country had 5
- Totaling 28 New Listings on the Market
