All the Buzz - Foreclosures and Short Sales (pre-foreclosures) are a huge part of this “Declining” real estate market. Searching for those properties does not have to be hard and you don’t have to pay for the ability to search either.

If you have been around on the LAPD for a while or if you are working with someone that has, The Good Neighbor Next Door(GNND) Program has probably been mentioned. It used to be called the Officer Next Door Program and is a program by the Department of Housing and Urban Development that allows Police Officers, Deputy Sheriff’s, Highway Patrol Officers, Emergency Medical Technicians and Teachers to buy a HUD foreclosure at 50% off of their Sales Price.
As of late – It would seem that HUD is revamping their website to allow for more traffic and maybe do a Release of these GNND homes.
