In the beginning, 1998 and 1999, the others in our industry told us we were crazy to hang our hats on Law Enforcement as their primary Real Estate Service Providers.
The other Real Estate agents would always say things like, “They don’t trust anyone – They ask too many questions – You cannot base your entire Real Estate Niche on Deputies…” We have not looked back and we are proud we had our line in the sand. LASD Sellers – Short Sales
Sellers that are Law Enforcement or Related to Law Enforcement – don’t necessarily have special needs. However, there might be somethings that are somewhat different than “normal”. One such example of what might fly for the private sector – but where anyone that is “sworn” might have an issue with regarding real estate is the “open house”.
There is no control mechanism when it comes to who visits an open house. Mostly, everything turns out without issue. Some open houses are a great chance to give your neighbors a glimpse of who the “deputy” is that lives down the street.
We under stand this – and while Open Houses are great for generating other sellers and buyers for my team and I, it is not usually the best fit for our exclusive clientele – the Sheriff’s Deputy.
